Gotta cheer for the liberal Rodgers over the MAGA Brady.

(17,863 posts)I don't see how they can be beat. We all knew that Brees was on his last legs, and he showed it tonight.

(5,309 posts)They're on a mission. It's not Brady vs. Rodgers. It's the Packers vs. the Bucs. And the Packers are the more talented team.
Gotta feel a little sorry for Brees. It wasn't a good game at all. His passing was so subpar. The last pass of his career was an interception. Not the way he planned on going out, but he's had one hell of a career, and his last game will soon be forgotten as history remembers the whole of his magnificent career.

(182,803 posts)Brees didnt pass the physical after he broke his collar bone. The Chargers dumped him because they like Rivers more. The Dolphins tried to pick up Brees in 2006 but he failed the physical. The Miami coach has said if he could have gotten Brees who knows what he could have done there. Nick Saban left Miami the next year for Alabama.

(17,305 posts)I didn't follow the NFL as closely back then. Didn't make the connection with Brees being let go in favor of Rivers and didn't know he could have caught on with the Dolphins.
Sure would have been interesting if history had worked out differently. The Dolphins would have been a tough go over that same stretch he played with the Saints.

(182,803 posts)Rodgers carried the Packers for a few years there pretty much by himself. Brees makes the same difference.

(4,921 posts)they can be beat. It's all about pressure on Rodgers.
As a Viking fan living 40 miles south of Green Bay, I don't want to cheer for the Packers (it's almost unbearable here when they make it to the Super Bowl), but I might have to as the lesser of (my) two evils.

(36,433 posts)and it's gonna be, like, 25° at kickoff. This Native Californian was really, really hoping for a snow game, but there's only a 40% chance of that happening.
Aaron Rodgers, another Native Californian will make California proud.
Go Bears!
