I have a new favorite small school team Grand Canyon Their fans are amazing. The radio guys kept commenting on their spirit, a thing that has been missed this year

(2,220 posts)I got six in one and ten in the other. So far, Hubster is beating me. If he wins, hell get to pick where we go when we can safely eat in restaurants again.
We dont really pay attention to basketball any other time of year, so its always a crapshoot for both of us to pick teams, but we have fun.

I have to hand it to the announcers. They are doing an amazing job trying to find positive things about the small schools despite the absence of fans.

Some of them call the games from monitors instead of courtside

(61,710 posts)as of yesterday, said they only had 121 perfect brackets left in the millions who filed them online.
Covid-19 has really reshaped the season, with frequent testing protocols requiring key players to quarantine, etc. As one sports writer said, the players being sequestered until time to play are like family dogs: all they think about is when they'll eat next, or get to take a ride to the park where they can run and play.
