As a huge sports fan, I don't get the appeal of watching people talk about sports.

I can happily watch football games for 10 hours on Sundays and all of MNF and TNF, but the pregame shows? No thanks. Same for baseball. I'll watch any game, anytime, anywhere, but can't watch more than a minute of MLB Network.

And don't get me started on the shows that run on repeat on ESPN, where panels of sports "talking heads" argue with each other about this or that issue. I'd rather listen to someone scratching their nails on a blackboard on an endless loop than have to listen to 30 seconds of Stephen A. Smith's schtick.

Does anyone else see the appeal?

1. Post game analysis and interviews are alright

But other than that just like in politics the sports punditocracy rarely gets it right.

2. I used to like to watch basketball...the bulls were great. But it got so crazy with ridiculous

Commentary. I decided then to just mute it, but eventually found that didnít work either with constant replays

4. Me neither....play the game, follow the box-scores.....make your own conclusions.

Though. back in the 70's.....I subscribed to the Boston Globe.....and read both the best sportswriters in Beantown plus "Spotlight" every damn day. Awesome education.

6. Depends on who is doing the talking

I can take or leave Stephen A. Smith. He is no Stuart Scott. I like when Shannon Sharpe Goes off. Lol!

7. I do enjoy half-time and post match commentary for...

Öthe English Premier League soccer games - especially The Two Robbies. And the Men in Blazers show is a delight.

14. I don't like Skip Bayless

I sometimes watch Undisputed mostly to agree with Shannon Sharpe. It depends on the topics or people but I understand what you mean. Arizona teams rarely get national attention so there is another reason why I donít like those shows that much.
