The snowboarding too, all the jumps and flips. Of course I really enjoy the curling events and cross country skiing...speed skating wows me too...

had the run set up from a woman's down hill race the week before with the rope and flags so we gently skied down it. Some parts were so steep I had to sit on my *** and slid down like some kind of geared up starfish. I could not believe anyone could ski that even at regular speed. They are crazy.

...my teeth feel like they are being shaken loose.

I predict knee replacements in their futures.

Some of the graphics from the luge competition showed those guys traveling over 80 mph too. There's a thin line between being a thrill seeker and having a death wish.

A few years back, I was skiing at Beaver Creek CO when it hosted the World Cup. My buddies and I stood behind the orange net on one of the curves of the Women's Downhill course.

TV had given me no inkling of the sheer power of those athletes. As each one roared past on her run, the feeling was very much like standing on the shoulder of the Interstate as semi-trailer trucks blast by at high speed within a few feet of you.
