Here's the thing about the jury.

You have a bunch of members who are on the jury who have no idea who I am or what I am about.

Do they know if I'm homophobic? Not really..... if they reviewed my 11 years of posts here on DU they'd know that I am not.

So I use a term like Sugar Plum Fairy to describe something that reminds me of a errrr Sugar Plum Fairy, and the knee Jerk reaction is I'm homophobic because I used the word Fairy.

7. I was on 2 of those juries yesterday..

"trolls" and "sugar plum fairies"...both times I voted in the minority. I've been alerted on at least once myself, the reason I know is because the alerter posted the results complaining about the verdict...which was 4-2 in my favor..

This whole jury system has brought all the busybodies, board nannies, and those with personal vendettas out of the woodwork....

Now just watch man..I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this post gets alerted on. I really don't know what I can safely say anymore..
