Norwegian bronze-medalist skier uses TV interview to confess that he cheated on his girlfriend

Some are condemning him for this because they feel that A) it overshadowed the moment belonging to his gold-medal winning skier teammate and B) his girlfriend didn't deserve to have the international spotlight on her by his choosing to create this scene.

Apparently he has apologized for making this about him and his troubles.

Thoughts?
