7. I think it's pretty cool. Fun fact: Science fiction author Robert A. Heinlein was on the fencing team

as a midshipman at Annapolis in the late 1920s. He always taped a small ivory elephant to the inside of his wrist as a good luck charm when he fenced.

My mom knew Helene Mayer from Mills College and often told me of her incredible story. After reading this bio, I can appreciate her even more.
