Why Hasn't Kia Turned Their 'Soul' Into A Hybrid?.....

The Soul is a very popular and practical Kia model. It seems like it would be a gold mine for Kia to turn it into a hybrid.

I have a 2014 Soul now and love it. If they had a hybrid I buy one in a shot.

I think it was for sale in a few states a couple years ago. Not sure if the current one is in the US yet. With the Niro EV already sold here I'm not sure they will bring it to the US market.

A hybrid makes sense for me because of the range factor. I not sold on all electric because of that.

Bigger battery -- we get about 30 miles full electric, then it switches over to normal hybrid (49 mpg).

Since nearly all of our day trips are under 30 miles, it's a great solution. All electric for about 90% of the miles we drive!

Total range with gas and electric is about 540 miles.

Kia Niro PHEV.

I test drove one before I bought my last car and learned how bad gas mileage is and the road noise was a deal breaker. It was disappointing. I find them adorable.
