Found in my grocery store parking lot

The MG F, 1999-2002
This was made by the Rover group. It is a mid engine rear drive convertible.
Probably 1.6 liter engine. Twin exhaust. It was quite popular, but Rover went belly up.
I just have no idea how you get to the engine for any service. The rear deck opens to the trunk.

But at my age getting out of this car becomes problematical.

We have another issue. The flat we bought has a garage. But. Next year the garage level my space is on will be worked on for 11 to 12 months. We are thinking of buying a car but will wait until 2027.

They seemed an amalgam that got passed around from one to another. I think they had something to do with Jaguar PLC when it was taken public about 1984.

There's not a decent separate history of Jaguar on Wiki. Rover, Leyland, Jaguar separate, then combined, then broken up. Now Rover Jaguar part of Tata Motors of India.

Disconnect the roof from behind the back seats, pop the cover. It's not GOOD access, but there it is. I'm sure it's like working on the Toyota MR2, which is miserable.

Great find though!
