Went to our first Minor League game last night.

Had a great time. Standing in line for tickets, a lady came up and gave us 4 tickets.
Midland has a great new stadium and there were lots stuff to do. It was packed with fans.
Only thing I didn’t like was it was a no cash event. Had to use a credit card to buy a bottle of water.
Home team won and clinched a spot in the play offs.
We plan on going back again.

I have a Loons shirt I bought at a yard sale for a buck a few years ago. They were $30 st the game.
They did let you bring in your own water bottle.

9 bucks to get in. Sometimes it's dollar dog night, and this past week was 2 dollar Coors Lite. It's great fun, the evening breeze is usually lovely and I've seen some great baseball. I'll root for players on both teams, they're kids, but ultimately root, root, root for the home team.

But please keep your eyes on the ball, I've seen someone hit with a foil ball ( years ago) and it wasn't pretty.

There's a TV channel I had on a few weeks ago that shows minor league games.

I saw a game being played in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was the Worcester Red Sox vs. I can't remember who it was.

And good morning.

Never thought to watch it.
This game was the Midland Loons vs the Ft. Wayne Tin Hats.
Single “A” league. I think that is the lowest of the three A teams.

You get to sit on the ground beyond the outfielders. This was thirty years ago.

Billings, Montana, has a first-rate stadium. That one where the Worcester Red Sox is pretty impressive too.

Enjoy.

on YouTube?
Almost like the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. Super fast moving game and they try a lot of trick stuff.

Never been to a game, but got to walk through the stadium. It's really nice!
I'd say it holds 7 to 8 thousand people.
The city It's in has well over 150,000 people, and the county is around 5 times that. So, the audience is there.
They are not affiliated with any major league teams, but both Chicago teams have used them for rehab time when guys recover from injuries.
They changed names a few years back, but they've been in that park for 20 years now.
People tell me the games are fun.

And is great fun, and cheap. Highly recommended, especially since a lot of MLB teams have their AAA teams close by their home city so some may not know there are teams so close. Going to a game in Sugarland would cost us about 80 bucks for both of us, including tickets behind the dugout, parking, and, say, a beer each, maybe hot dogs. To go to an Astros game (the stadium is about 35 miles from us) would cost easily twice that for lousy seats, parking far from the stadium and no concessions AND we'd have to drive to downtown Houston. It's a no brainer.
