Rumor has it that my Cleveland Guardians are going to sign Walker Buehler as a free agent. He’s had Tommy John twice and is 30 years old. Can anyone tell me more about Buehler? Is this a good signing or not?

I was looking forward to a Buehler - Otani matchup in San Francisco.

I guess we could see the matchup, but Cleveland Guardians are an American League team, and with that innerleague play, the chances are pretty slim.

5. IMO, if he gets a thumbs up from Antonetti, Vogt, Willis ...

it's going to be a good signing.

They're probably drooling over his clubhouse presence too -- a mentor for the youngest guys.

I think this also says, maybe screams, that the club isn't feeling too hot for Logan Allen and Triston McKenzie.

I’m feeling better about this now after reading the above posts. I was feeling pretty bummed out that we traded away Andres Gimenez.

McKenzie and Allen never seemed to develop enough consistency to merit a stay in the big leagues and with Bieber on a one year contract we want to go for it all in this upcoming season.

Hopefully Antonetti makes better decisions than Haslam. 😂

in limited action. There are definitely question marks hanging over him. Wish him all the best, but it's far from a guarantee that he'll return to form.

BTW, does the "Diamond" in Diamond Dog pertain to the baseball diamond? Is that what inspired it, your baseball fandom?
