The Cards are 13-5 after a 3-9 start

Despite a couple of bullpen collapses, the Cardinals look pretty damn good.

Right now.

I would not be surprised if they played .600 ball from now on - I wouldn't be surprised if they played .300 ball from now on either.

It's maddening to watch.

They can look so great or so shitty that I can't tell if we have a great team under performing occasionally or a crap team that got hot for a couple weeks.

Hi,

There are several good looking teams so far, but as we all know it is early in the season.

The Astros look good & have put last year's April behind them. The Rangers are flailing in last place & the Angels could challenge the Astros.

The Yankee's look really good, have you seen that new guy they have ! forgot his name offhand, but he is looking all-star just starting out in his career.

What about those Cubs. Above 500, but still when did they take off last year ? The Reds & Cardinals will have to play really well this year to beat them or who knows ! When was the last time a team won 2 world series in a row. Can anyone tell me if the National's are ready for the world series this year.

It is only May & we all know anything can happen. It is a long season with 130ish games still to be played.

The last time the Cubbies won 2 in a row was the last time they won it all - 1907 and 1908. Last year they lost a few in the 1st week and then played .700+ baseball for the whole season.

Yankees look good with young home grown talent - That's scary, because they can always afford to hire a bat or a pitcher at need, so if their core players are young and cheap, they will go after anything they need to get over the hump

The Reds are surprising me, I knew Votto is a stone cold stud at the plate and he's raking, but I don't believe they have the arms to keep up this pace

Hope is eternal, it's what baseball is built on after all. I know. Freaking out in early May makes no sense, but I can't help myself.

I don't follow the American League on a daily basis (I live around St Louis, so I track the NL) but I have been looking in on Houston now and again, and they are set for a long playoff run IMHO. Especially since Dallas Keuchel seems to be healthy again
