Ouch! All-Star Game Honors Hank Aaron - who played with the Atlanta Braves - in Denver

The ASG was moved out of Atlanta to Denver to protest the new voter suppression laws in Georgia. Aaron died in January. Of course, it would have been fitting for Aaron to be honored in Atlanta, but the racists fucked up that.

I hope that pisses off the racists even more.

Of course, they wouldn't pull the honor. And of course it was planned a while ago. Sibelius Fan Jul 2021 #3

And as a Hank Aaron fan, even more. That it pisses off the RW GA legislators who caused it to be moved, all the better. That said, I am sad for those in Atlanta who are losing the business that comes with it. I can only hope GA continues on its bluer path--despite the odds.

They weren't going to pull the Honor just because the game had to move. That would have been BS.

Milwaukee was Hank Aaron's first and last MLB hometown, and one can make the argument the All Star Game should have been moved to Milwaukee.

But at the end of the day, Coors Field put on a good show.
