San Diego Padres hire Bob Melvin as new manager
No one is blaming him for leaving the Athletics either. Oakland owners are assholes, increased season ticket prices by nearly 100%, and are likely to trade off top stars to slash payroll again.
According to "sources," so not official yet. Looks like a three-year deal.
It's a good move for Melvin. Who in the right mind would want to rebuild yet one more time? Melvin is gone. Fans aren't far behind.
