Anyone have any idea how the Giants will do this year?

I have my fingers crossed.

And I don't need to be told how the Cubs will do - they will do great right up till the last minute. (Chi town is my home town, and I still have dreams I am at a World Series game with fellow Cub fans.)

Play at first base. No one with that type of injury should have to stoop down on their knees for inning after inning.

He could really hit but the only way he'll keep his status as a pro baseball player for several years as opposed to several months is if he can remain off his knees for long periods of time.

I say this as someone with twenty years as a home health aide, countless friends who do physical therapy, etc. And a husband who still babies on knee on account of football injuries from HS.

Yeah, the offseason pickups are paying off huge (Cabrera and Pagan) and Posey is back and looks great. And even Zito is tearing it up in the Cactus League. Belt and Pill are gonna be pushing Huff (And will supplant him by the All Star break IMO) and Freddie Sanchez is healthy again. So that is a lot of guys that can get hits in front of Posey and Panda. Crawford at Short is a good deal, at least he is not an automatic out. And Schierholtz is a great defensive player, never mind that 260 lifetime BA. This is his year I think to do something. He s gonna be seeing a lot better ptiches this year with Posey and Panda in the lineup....
