So Pirates can enjoy that view across the river of downtown. We get to walk to games from here on the Northside which was part of the draw to moving here. Now if they could get that cheap bastard Nutting to buy some talent instead of playing farm team to half the league it would be a good deal.

11. I was at game 7 of the 1991 World Series. It wasn't a no-hitter,

but there was a scoreless tie (0–0) through nine innings, and the Twins' starting pitcher, Jack Morris, pitched a complete 10-inning game which they won 1-0. Pretty fun!

It was Sunday, August 5, 1973, in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. The Braves blanked the Padres 9-0. I was there. It was a huge thrill, witnessing a no-no in person. It was Phil Niekro's only career no-hitter.

I have been using that date for my Missouri state lotto numbers for 30+ years: 1 for the first day of the week, 3 for the 3 in 1973, 5 for the fifth day of the month, 7 for the 7 in 1973, 8 for the eighth month, and 19 for the 19 in 1973. 1-3-5-7-8-19. I know those numbers will hit some day. It might be tonight, it might be next week, it might be 100 years from now, but eventually they'll hit.

17. 1 For Me

My dad, my cousin and I saw the Milt Pappas game at Wrigley. Very early my third year of HS. (Around Labor Day?)
Yet, all anybody remembers was Froemming's blown call on 3-2 count with 2 outs in the 9th.
Next hitter made an out, so no-hitter in tact, but everybody there felt they should have seen a perfecto.
Edited To Add: that was the Cubs 2nd no hitter at Wrigley that year! Then there wasn't another one for around 35 years.
