Astros too legit to quit

This win should put the cheating scandal behind them. With only 5 players on that 2017 team still on the team, 20 players, including Jordan Alvarez, will get their 1st World Series ring. I'm happy for the city and the fans. They will have to suffer thru a horrible football and basketball season.

I wonder how many players will return for next year?

A salute to the Phillies and their Cinderella season. Good pitching overcame good hitting this time around. Better luck next year!

turned the team around after the Phillies fired Girardi. That in itself is a major accomplishment.

It belonged to Albert Pujols so he thought it would have some mojo for him. It’s illegal because that model was prone to splinter dangerously when broken, not because of any advantage. Sorry it doesn’t fit the narrative you seem to want to push.

Major League Baseball forced Houston Astros catcher Martín Maldonado to stop using an illegal maple bat after Game 1 of the World Series.

The bat was deemed illegal for safety reasons and not competitive reasons -- the specific type of maple bat Maldonado used is more likely to splinter into multiple pieces.

The suspect/illegal bat was a gift from Albert Pujols in 2017; it was grandfathered in for Pujols, but not newer players like Maldonado
