Sorry I wasn't more clear. I know there's an osprey nest here, close to this tree, overlooking the creek, here pictured with nesting parents a month or so ago. Never did see 'babies,' but 'teenagers' have been flying around.



Neighbor and I were looking at the nest in the tree today, and he mentioned it might be bald eagle nest. I waited to see if I could see a bird on it, but wasn't successful.

and the relative smallness, I would guess osprey.

Eagles nests get really huge and so often break the tree.

But the test will be to watch and see who shows up next spring.

Will watch the tree nest, and nearby 'shed' nest too, next spring. Lots of action around here!

a square base made for them. Dunedin Florida has 5 poles like that along the intra coastal waterway approaching the town. Anywhere you find them they are on top of something.
