(31,493 posts)1. You'd never know it here in Pinellas county Fl. I've never seen so many Osprey.
At my marina there are always ducks, ducklings, cranes, night herons, cormorants, egrets, ospreys, brown pelicans ect. I even see bald eagles regularly.

(18,219 posts)2. There may be more Osprey than you have ever seen
because up north, we have been working very hard to get them to return to areas where they used to be, but were wiped out. We have relocated babies and raised them so they would return to nest....and this has been very successful.

(2,921 posts)3. I was just discussing the lack of Evening Grosbeaks in our area...
We used to have 30-60 visit our feeder at a time during the 80's-90's. I haven't seen one in the last 5 years here. There is a discussion I googled and seems like we are not the only ones seeing this decline....
