Need help identifying birds...

These two handsome fellows have been hanging around our backyard off and on the past few weeks. At first I thought one of them was an escaped parakeet (the second one) as the body is similar, but on closer inspection I think I'm wrong. His friend (first pic) obviously is not a parakeet at least to my eyes, but I know pretty much nothing. They are very blue under their wings. We live in Katy, TX (far far west Houston)

Thanks!

and very skittish. The second one started hanging around first and then the first one started coming around, like they're buds or something. They're always together.
maybe they are parakeets???

This one has him mixing up phrases. Yes, he is real and it goes to show, beware what you say around birds.

I wonder if I should put different food out for them. Right now I have just regular wild bird seed. Maybe put a cage out too (without a door) to make them feel at home? Poor guys are probably scared. Or maybe feeling liberated!

Also newspaper on the bottom with gravel.. Gravel can also be put in a little seed container as well. They need the gravel (bought at a pet store)to digest their food. Stalks of celery is a treat for these guys.

You can put a little tie on the door to keep it open.

Chances are these were pets. I lost a very tame little one when I was a child. He was on my mother's shoulder when she briefly went out the door. I know of others who have lost parrots and parakeets by similar mistakes. Often on the fourth of July. Many people let their parakeets fly around the house all day and make sure they are in a covered cage for the evening. They usually make it back to the cage on their own or we would hold the cage up to them. Of course, when they fly around, they can easily fly out the door. If you go to a local lost-pet site, you might find somebody who is looking for them.

We also put out a cage with a seed container and water (with the doors tied open) but these guys seem to want none of it. They would rather hang out with the wild birds apparently. We're keeping an eye out, and are mindful of winter (which isn't too bad here in SE Texas, but is likely bad enough for a parakeet). They both hold their own out amongst the doves and starlings, so hopefully they're adapting.
Thank you for your advice and comments!

ETA--funny you should mention it, but we had some celery that we weren't going to use, so I put it out near the bird feeder but we had no takers....
