Christian Cooper: Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World
Christian Cooper, known for being the black man at the receiving end of Central Park Karen’s racist stupidity, has written a wonderful book. This is a fascinating memoir about his life, his relationships with family and friends, his career and travels, and of course his love of birds and all things birding. He makes you cry and he makes you laugh out loud. I loved every page.
And by the way, his tv show Extraordinary Birder on Nat Geo Wild is pretty wonderful too.
