I was vaguely aware of it, but I was't sure where to find it. Then I saw OS's post (http://www.democraticunderground.com/12081432) & was able to get here.

(60,006 posts)3. "sparrow hawks" - just gorgeous birds! I've seen them only a few times.
A Cooper's Hawk is making the rounds of our neighborhood. And the other night just before dusk, as we were walking our dogs, a Barred Owl swooped across the street, landed in a tree and took a good look at us (and vice versa).
When we can really clear out the junk and pay attention, our world is a magical place!

a few times a day for a hand out, then goes on its way.
