Birders
Related: About this forumVigilant male house finch (this afternoon)
Birds visit my neighbor's holly trees throughout the year. I'm looking forward to the big wave of returning songbirds that usually occurs around May 1.

(2,895 posts)We call them rusty reds. They frequent our finch socks along with lesser gold finches and warblers.
I love birds!

(6,819 posts)The chimney swifts have returned and their chattering is constant throughout the day. Like house finches and cardinals, our catbirds are year-round residents, but are active and more vocal now that we're into the nesting season. I hear a mourning dove while I'm typing this.
