Birders
Related: About this forumRest in Grace, Elleng

Photo - Douglas Liu
When despair for the world grows in me...
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free. - Wendell Berry

(3,949 posts)I had more chats with her than anyone else here. She told me how she had been a lawyer, and about her father, who had a law practice in New York City many years ago, and I shared with her how I'd spent over 50 years working as a paralegal at a large New York law firm. She took beautiful photos and always had interesting recipes. Just an overall good soul.

(33,296 posts)I was shocked to see the post from one of her daughters on Facebook just a few hours ago. To my knowledge, she hadn't been ill.
I've just checked and there are still no details added to that post.
