Birders
Related: About this forumAn American Kestrel just landed on the awning outside my office window. What a beautiful bird.
Our office is located on an old army base and there is still a lot of open area, especially in the part where we are located. We see a lot of different birds, including several raptors, but this is the first Kestrel that I've seen. I hope he becomes a regular.

OP
You have to be careful about collecting feathers. In many cases it's illegal to possess them.

Endangered species, I knew about. Cardinals? They're all over the place. Not so many this year, but not rare.

are used as conservation areas for birds. They have so much open space and bird habitat that can still be used by them in increasingly populated areas. That's pretty cool.
