Sounds like a win-win. I only worry that the rhea would get too cold in winter. It's probably not well adapted to English winters.

Probably wouldn't hurt to bring in a friend or mate.

There are escaped, now wild parrots on the east coast, they build their nests on telephone poles with transformers, which helps them stay warm.
