My friend from Germany was quite skeptical it was a "real cuckoo" - lol

We have them around here but I generally see the Yellow Billed Cuckoos. They go nuts in the evening after a nice rain. I lost all the trees across the pond to beaver so I do not know where they hang out now. I have not seen once since. They are here though, I am sure they are. Lovely video. Such beautiful birds.
I'm often awakened by osprey calls:
