Have been watching a long billed dowitcher

in my backyard for the last two hours. Have never seen one of these before. I live in the lower midwest and do not live near water of any type. Called in two of my cousins who have lived here, unlike me, their entire life. They have never seen this bird before but agree (after checking images on google) that it is indeed a very busy long billed dowitcher.

the yard is fenced (private) all around and if I had opened the back door of the house it would of scared it off. I really wanted a pic but there was just no way.

DID see a bald eagle today, on tree limb in front of my house; got a pic, but through dirty window, so nothing to brag about.

I don't know much about birds. Do you think the dowitcher migration routes have changed because of climate change?
