I occasionally see this one flying away, down the creek, after I've opened the door; IF lucky, I see him/her perched on a tree across the creek.

But last year, a nesting eagle pair took it over and chased the seahawks away. Last summer was the first one in a long time that we have not had ospreys hunting in our koi pond.
We have already heard the eagles back again this spring, their high pitched talking voices are unique.

SOMEWHAT similar to what happened here last year.

LARGE nest adjacent to my house, has been here for many years; I've been here 'only' for 6.

Have watched same osprey pair return and meet every spring, and watched 'kids' hatch, learn, and thrive, but last year an eagle attacked (neighbor saw it) and destroyed the egg(s) being warmed, so no kids last year.

Eagles usually in the neighborhood, but haven't seen them lately; nor have I been out as often as usual, due to weather.
