The Brown Thrasher is back. It was turning over leaves under the forsythia bush.

I took my coffee out on the porch. Sunshine, light breeze and 60F. I filled the feeders this morning and put out an ear of corn for the squirrels. In just a few minutes time I was visited by Goldfinches, House Finches, a pair of Cardinals, White Winged Dove, Red Bellied Woodpecker and Mockingbird. Then I saw the movement under the bush and there was the Brown Thrasher.

They nested in or near my yard last summer and raised two batches of fledgling. I hope this year will be a repeat.
