LATER, and I'M OUTSIDE, 'shooting' right at the nest; no windows.
BOTH of them!
FOLKS, LOOK to the right of the kids whose heads we see; what is the other 'ball of fur?' Osprey-follower friends think it's a wing. I don't see that AT ALL!

(130,895 posts)Almost magic, as I rarely get to watch the kids eating, and I never see adults catching fish!

(130,895 posts)The 'temptation' is relieved by the fact that MOST of these pics are from a room in my bedroom, so spending the whole day up there kind of cramps my 'style,' such as it is!

Nice pics. At what age do they leave the nest?

(130,895 posts)'habit' says 7-8 weeks for 'fledging!' Guess I should record when I saw them first, which is some ?weeks? after they hatched; they stay in the donut-hole of the nest for a while, to develop.
Hope we'll get to see them practicing by flying from nest to tree on other, east side of the creek. In the past, they spend a lot of time practicing that way.

(1,819 posts)They will start flapping their wings building their flight mussels.
I think that is the fun part.
