Osprey kid made it to another perch,

over looking creek and nest!!! Notice talons, and other attributes of 'feet.'

The Osprey's feet have pads with scales modified into tough, barb-like spicules that help grasp slippery fish. They even have a long talon on the "little" or outer toe, unlike other raptors and they are the only hawk that has a "reversible" toe that they can maneuver in position forward or back to help seize fish.

Every year, the Kids' parents return here, around St. Pat's Day; the kids take a year 'off' in south/central America, and it is thought the kids return north (near here?) in later years.

That's the motto for my daughter's college, UNF, that has the Osprey as their logo. They are so cool and nest all over this area near water - which we have in abundance here in NE FL.
