He can see inside the sliding doors. He never leaves, for a few years now, and his mate comes too. They'll bring their young ones and take grapes to the nest. They don't mind raisins either

I love robins. This guy is so intelligent. If he runs out of grapes, he sits by the kitchen window tree and stares until we throw some out.

Robins are more transient in Houston. I've had several small flocks stop by, but then they are gone. Only once in 15 years have I had one that stayed and had babies.

I will put out some grapes in a bowl for them and I hope they will find it

I am so happy you will try this..for the robin and for you. I love these birds. When I work in front yard, and there's no grapes in the back, they "bother" me by flying back and forth over my head.

You won't get more than a pair, because they fight for the territory that has the grapes..

I first noticed them in my serviceberry trees, at the old house and this one. You will also get cedar waxwings if you get this tree. Check with your nursery and see if you can find them there.

Serviceberry is a great tree...white blossoms, red fruit, and beautiful salmon colored leaves in the fall. Hope we don't get a frost that destoys the fruit like last year. That damned March spring we had ruined all the fruit in Michigan.

Getting off-topic, I talk too much...

and hope that they find them before the squirrels do, lol!

I wasn't familiar with serviceberry trees and looked them up on Google. They are beautiful! I have 3 holly trees that produce red berries and attracts cedar waxwings

Right now, I'm getting the last few flocks of gold finches before they move north. I don't get to see them with their bright summer colors, but I made sure they have plenty of sunflower seeds and fresh water for their winter stay here. I always miss them when they're gone.
