They fly lower than a bird of bird prey I guess. I guess they are looking for fish.

Have you seen the Farmer's Almanac forecast?
Someone posted it a while ago on DU. Yikes!
Although, I must say, other than infrastructure failures like water main breaks, I prefer winter to this miserably hot, humid climate.
