1. I remember the grackles in austin. Very loud!

Get an airhorn out and get rid of 'em.

No colors, so not starlings, I think.

4. Different varieties of blackbirds hang out in these large flocks in the winter. Starlings grackles

Redwing blackbirds, brown headed cowbirds sometimes, all together. They sure do make quite a racket when they all gather in one tree. Happens here sometimes then they swarm the yard. Some of those huge flocks you will see, I have read, have hundreds of thousands of birds. I love to watch the large flocks swarm and turn like a school of fish

6. I can relate. I'm sitting here trying to decide how many clothes I need to pile on to go outside

I ALWAYS wear socks, even to bed!

My favorite 'intermediate' jacket being repaired, so not at ALL sure what I'll wear out for a while; Tues-Wed-Thurs 'nicely' moderate temps forecast, so easier.

7. The darned grackles around here

Will swarm all over my bird feeder and clean it out in minutes.
