Red Tailed Hawk with it's catch.

We saw it swoop by clutching it's victim. Thankfully we didn't see the actual catch take place. I still have such mixed emotions about who to root for...predator or prey. Thankfully it's not my choice to make, I'm only an observer.

I wanted to post it, but it was from a secondary source and people don’t seem to like that.

I, too, have my inner conflicts.. I think I do good w/ no veal or duck or pheasant..etc. but.. and here’s my excuse..all in moderation. I don’t think we were meant to not have nourishments. I will admit..I, too, feel uneasy w/ my choices. Apologies, my Friend

road runner

my sister has three she is feeding in her yard, she going to go broke on the fresh hamburger. partly because the thrashers are in on the deal now and they are really bullies to the roadrunners. also a couple of doves that don't know they aren't supposed to be carnivors. LOL

7. On my walk to work I would see Coopers Hawk's in the neighborhood. One day on my trek

I heard lots of screeching and rustling of leaves. A Coopers Hawk was chasing its prey thru the trees. It reminded me of WW2 fighter planes dueling over Europe. Bobbing and weaving, tight turns it was very exciting to watch. They eventually got out of sight and I always wondered who "won" that day...

The predator can win a meal while the prey can lose everything.

Especially eagles but they all are stealth hunters. I hate the word but I’m in awe of them.

And if they weren't the great hunters that they are they wouldn't survive. All part of nature's plan.
