I don't hand feed even in warmer weather, but they are very friendly. They have plenty of feeders...

They usually grab a seed, take off to a nearby twig, put the seed between their feet and crack it

and there are several squirrels, but not as many as in previous years. Right now, starlings have arrived with this blast of frigid weather, but they are eating the cornmeal mush/rendered suet mix I made for them and not raiding the feeders.

I cant put out as many seed feeders as I would like because I live on the second floor, deck and we have tons of squirrels
