1. Lucky you.

I haven't seen many birds all winter, since I work all day and leave here when it is dark and return when it is dark. Soon, I will be seeing more birds again. I feed the buggers all the time anyways, even when I can't enjoy them.

2. I've been trying to get a decent shot of the YBS for almost 3 years.

After courting woodpeckers for 3 years, I'm finally getting a couple at me feeders. It was thrilling to see them. I love woodpeckers.

I hate going in before sunrise and getting off after sunset. Feels like I'm skipping entire days.

3. Well, I kind of am skipping entire days.....all winter.

Not even a window in my office.

Glad you finally convinced the woodpeckers to visit. They will now be constant friends.

4. That sucks! I need to see outside, at least.

When I worked ICU I'd take breaks on the roof just to be outside.

"Come back here, ya yellow-bellied sapsucker!" (lifts himself into the air by firing his guns at the ground).
