With all the starlings around all the time, why have I never encountered anything close to this!

Like you, I have seen" flocks" of starlings. Have fed them and yes, been annoyed and angry with them when they would kick out our native birds from their nesting holes. I have even raised a few orphaned ones--can be very interesting and endearing as individuals.

THIS, however, kind of startled me.. Mesmerized me and probably lowered my blood pressure as well. To think that in Europe, this stunning scene must have been witnessed down through the ages.

I have to give credit to the BlueNC site; this is where I came across the video. It was placed there by the moderator, so that people could escape from the frustration of politics and all the heartbreak and strife that goes on in the world. I am thinking of posting this at our own DU General Discussion site.
