I'm pretty sure I know where these photos were taken... and the burrowing owls too. They both look like Southern California locations.

I've been to both of those places. You can see my pics on Instagram at @oldguywithacamera.

Have you been to see the Snowy Owl yet? We should go shooting together sometime.

in California for the falcons. I'm on the east coast.

I found the 'airport runway light' he mentioned in the Burrowing Owl series:

Silhouetted against the "sun"

''the spot is located at the beginning of an airport runway. And one of beacon lights there, which blinks at a certain interval, when captured from far away may look like the sun but it is not.''
