Injuries decimate 49ers Super Bowl chances

Costly victory against the Jests ...

DE Nick Bosa and DT Solomon Thomas have likely suffered torn ACLs.

Not season-ending, but QB Garoppolo suffered a high ankle sprain and RBs Mostert and Coleman have unspecified knee injuries.

TE Kittle, CB Sherman, DE Ford ... already hurting.

Loss of Bosa is too big to overcome IMO.

We went into the season with a decimated wide receiver corps, Kittle, Sherman, and Ford go down last week, what else could possibly go wrong? It's not looking like it's going to be our year.

a great defensive line, which we had, makes a mediocre secondary, which we also have, look good. Without the pass rush we're highly vulnerable. We can blitz linebackers as we did against the Jets, but that opens up passing opportunities for the running backs and tight ends. Any team with a decent QB -- Seattle, Rams, Arizona, Patriots, New Orleans, Green Bay -- is drooling about now. Those are eight potential losses right there, plus the one we already have. That's a 7-9 record. 6-10 if Dallas gets their act together, maybe 5-11 with a loss to Buffalo. Holy jumping' catfish!!!

The only good thing we had at the end of the season was high draft picks for the next year.
I hope history doesn't repeat.
