I wonder if an electric engine could match or beat that? I suppose if you threw range out the window as a concern, you could probably use a Ridiculously Large Capacitor to fling you pretty fast.

Along with the ability to pack the necessary horsepower within tight constraints of space and weight, and carry enough fuel for the length of the run.

Schochimetric air/fuel with gasoline - 14.7/1 by weight., 0.5#/hp/hr is a good target for BSFC.

Methanol is in the neighborhood of 5.5/1 AFR, nitromethane is an oxygen bearing fuel with an AFR nearing 1/1! % of nitro obviously affects AFR.

Danny Thompson has lived the dream ever since his dad Mickey and stepmom were murdered. Mickey went 406 fifty years ago. Every mile per hour over 400 is a huge achievement. Danny has stayed true to his dads dream.
