Back from a week sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.

It truly was a refreshing time away from work. All you think about is wind and chilling. Except, of course, when storms come through. Then it's white knuckle time but you are so busy you don't have time to think about it.

1. Looking good there on a nice reach and away from all the madness.

We'll be back on the ocean in a few days. Just finishing up installing a new wind generator and engine rebuild.

3. We had a nice breeze that morning.

It died out in the afternoon so we had to use the iron sail to get in to Solomon, MD.
She's a Catalina 34. Not the fastest but comfy enough.
You get to relax but you are constantly watching for crab pots.

4. We spent a night at Tangier Island, which I recommend....

It is sinking into the bay and has about 700 residents who make their living crabbing and now tourist. The only way to get around is by golf cart and these kids were having a blast chasing us as we ode off.
