Belgium 3 Japan 2

Belgium came from 2-0 down against a Japanese team playing superbly. The winning goal was in the final seconds. Outstanding game!

And dare I say it, I doubt England would have been able to recover from the position Belgium found themselves in against a Japanese team playing very well.

I was rooting for Belgium, but fun fact: My husband was in the military. Our first overseas duty assignment 23 years ago was Japan. Our last, came back last summer, was Belgium. To be honest, I thought Japan had this. They both play spectacular, but Japan just looked better. My throat was hurting so much from screaming and yelling Awesome Game. This World cup has been nutty.

Its been decades in a world cup for a quick turnaround like that.
Talk about confidence, and not feeling defeated. That turnaround happened in what? The last half hour or less?
That tall guy with the big hair was great.

He was the substitute who made the difference. Well known to fans of English football due to his career with Everton and Manchester United.

Not always well regarded as he can be quite clumsy, concedes lots of fouls and picks up more than his fair share of bookings. He's a good player, but not good enough to justify the enormous sum Manchester United payed for him.

He was very good last night though.

Belgium won 2-1 and face France in the semi finals!

Also, Kevin De Bruyne is simply world class, but then if you've seen Manchester City play this season you will no doubt already be well aware of that!
