American Airlines will stop blocking off middle seats starting July 1

American Airlines will stop blocking off middle seats starting July 1, essentially forgoing social distancing on flights.

Be careful and spread the word to family and friends who may be flying.

Even with the middle seats blocked, being trapped in a small tube for several hours or more with dozens of strangers and a limited ventilation system seemed the most risky environment I could imagine, far worse than restaurants or bars. With every seat filled? Suicidal.

and my own oxygen supply. At this time I do not even trust wearing goggles, a mask and gloves. I have gotten sick on planes about 25% of the few times I have flown in my life time. No way would I voluntarily fly now.
