...as I sit here recovering from accident and not able to hike for some time... 
I have had the great fortune of hiking in many of those places... experiences I will never forget!!
especially unforgettable is the hike into Rattlesnake Canyon near Fruita, CO
I wasn't going to have time to go to Moab on this particular trip and a local suggested Rattlesnake Canyon- all the beauty and geological features w/o the crowds... it was awesome!! many stories and smiles go with that hike
