I'm looking for light, comfortable for walking, water resistant enough for rainy weather. The last item is more important than I thought - I have several pairs that are great for sunny weather, but proved to be miserable after stepping in even very shallow puddles.
I like to travel very light, so I like to get by with the one pair that I wear.

(6,477 posts)I always have a pair and a spare, in case of rain and to avoid rubbing blisters in the same spot by wearing the same shoes over and over.
I wear Clark's shoes myself. Your mileage may vary.

(146,218 posts)They are pretty light, dry quickly, can be worn with or without socks and really work for me when walking.
