Dublin to Killarney and back, visiting several places along the way. If any DUers have spent time there during the winter, I would really appreciate your advice--especially about what sort of weather to be prepared for.

(141,926 posts)daughter's been there in October. Generally expect rain, damp, chilly/cold, but keep in mind you can buy necessary clothing there, and come away with nice souvenirs.

(141,926 posts)and 'Wellies,' that is, boots/rubbers (Wellingtons,) but again, you'll be able to buy those and umbrella over there.

(179,353 posts)I agree with elleng about the weather, but also don't be surprised if it snows. It did the time that I was there in November. It only lasted a couple of days, but it was definitely sloppy. Good Irish coffee weather, though.
