Pat Robertson advises 80 year old tither to get her butt to work

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/09/04/1327137/-Pat-Robertson-advises-80-year-old-tither-to-get-her-butt-to-work

Terry Meeuwsen: My husband and I are in our 80s and have been tithing for many years. We both love the Lord and give willingly and our tithe is over 10 percent. I praise Him and thank Him for our blessings. I declare that this is our time of prosperity, but we never have an extra penny after our bills are paid.

Our old car just broke down and we had to borrow money to fix it. We both need dental work, but we can’t afford it. I constantly have to use our credit card to pay for medical needs. I speak the verse about "give and it will be given to you." We have no unforgiveness in our lives. What could we be doing wrong? - Audrey

Pat Robertson: Ask God to show you some ways of making money. There are many ways of making money, even at 80 years old. You know, you can get on the telephone, people are hiring. There are all kinds of things you can do. For example, you may have a bunch of junk lying around in your garage that you can sell on eBay, and get some money that way.

There are many, many ways of making money. And you’re looking at the downside of all the bills you’ve got instead of saying, ‘God, I’ve been faithful to you. Now, I claim my blessing, and I ask you to open the windows of heaven and pour me out a blessing. Show me what you’re going to do, show me how I can move into blessing.’ So, just ask him. He'll give you some concepts. Your mind will open up.

I know. Put on a suit, get on TV, and dispense ridiculous advice with fake authority and rake in millions.
Of course, it does require you become a very good liar, and a huge asshole, and find places to hide huge gobs of money, but nothing in life is free, amirite?

How much fun would it be to see the Jesus of the bible return, he would literally break his hands beating these pricks about the face.

Whatever belief he may have had in a vengeful god when he entered the ministry has evaporated under the glow of all the money he keeps on making. On the other hand, the prosperity gospel does work for him.

sell everything you own and give it to the poor.
You can start with that 80 year old. You'll get your reward in heaven

Imagine telling an octogenarian to do telephone sales, or to sell what's in her garage!

Maybe they have no garage.
They may be living in a small flat or already have sold their garage leftover.

Because they are not 'increasing.' This old lady falls within that caveat, as do disabled and others who are not going up in income.

Some people are stuck in a circle of lie. If they can't admit they've fallen for a scam, they'll be broken by the grifters.

Blood Diamond Pat will take a piss on them and make them feel worse. He's a sick bastid.

I heard him once in a similar situation. A caller was saying she would have to cut down her contributions because she needed to pay her bills. Pat told her not to "rob God." What a despicable human being. I just put it down as proof that Jesus doesn't exist, because how could he suffer such a man to represent him?
