In other words, it's not that anyone is leading us someplace, it's that users enter those phrases most often - which I actually find scarier.

can use your web history in it's auto-fill algorithm.

How auto-complete works
As you type, Google's algorithm predicts and displays search queries based on other users' search activities. In addition, if you're signed in to your Google Account and have Web History enabled, you may see search queries from relevant searches that you've done in the past. All of the predicted queries that are shown in the drop-down list have been typed previously by Google users

WE (atheists) should shut up

WE are not persecuted

WE are the problem

WE should work out some sort of coexistence

WE should be less "militant"

WE should be more respectful

WE should be more accepting

WE are the troublemakers

WE are the ignorant ones

WE are not such a minority

Dear reader: If you see any of the above thoughts in your posts (literal or between the lines) PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS. The OP is an observation of the world we live in, with possibly the largest survey cross-section you could imagine.

Now you know why

we get defensive
we stick together
we get offended
we are a bit touchy sometimes
we have no sympathy for the blubbering majority that occassionally has to obey the law and bitches about it
we give no quarter to the facist strain of the religious right that attempts to change those laws
we can be combative, because
we ARE in combat
we are attacked
we do fight back, and
we aren't going to stop any time soon
